What it does
It's worth starting at the end. The Registro Mercantil Central offers no public API: integrating properly requires a commercial agreement Mandato does not yet have. Any software promising to look up corporate data “from inside the matter” is describing something that doesn't happen.
What can be done, and what we do, is make sure the filing doesn't go missing. A company-name reservation or a corporate search is a task with a state, a date and an owner, and today it lives in the head of whoever started it and in a browser tab.
Mandato turns them into tracked items inside the matter, with deep links to the RMC's public services — the name-reservation request and the company search — so nobody has to hunt for the URL. And when the certificate arrives, the AI reads it and extracts its data.
How it works in Mandato
From a corporate client's record you open a registry filing. It is recorded with its type, its date and its state, and from there you go straight out to the relevant RMC service without passing through a search engine.
The state is updated by hand, because there is no honest alternative: ordered, received, analysed. In exchange, the firm knows at any moment which filings are open at the Registry and which have gone too long without an answer.
When the certificate enters the matter, the AI interprets it and extracts the data it contains. That analysis is date-stamped next to the document, so the awkward question — who was authorised on the day the engagement was signed — is answered with what was on record then, not with what is on record now.
The BORME covers the other half of the problem. If a company you follow publishes an appointment or a removal, the alert arrives on its own, without anyone having to query the Registry again.
Mandato does not query corporate data against the Companies Registry and does not obtain certificates automatically: there is no public API and we have no commercial agreement with the RMC. What exists is manual tracking of the filing, links to the official services, and AI parsing of what you receive. Nor do we reserve company names or incorporate companies. We would rather have a dull, true product page than a brilliant, false one.

Does Mandato query the Companies Registry automatically?
No. The RMC offers no public API and we have no commercial agreement with it. Mandato tracks the filing, takes you to the official service, and reads the certificate when you receive it.
So what do I gain over a spreadsheet?
The filing lives in the client's matter with its date and state, the certificate is analysed on arrival, and the BORME tells you about appointments and removals without being asked.
Can I incorporate a company or reserve a name?
Not from Mandato. We take you to the RMC service where it is done, and we track the task.
Will this change?
A real integration depends on an agreement with the RMC. When one exists, we'll say so here. Until then, this page describes what there is.
